Every dog parent knows the frustration of their pet ruining a patch of new seedlings or a soon-to-burst bloom. If your pup loves to sample the harvest, a no-dig fencing solution is a lifesaver for busy DIYers.

Unfortunately, every one of these low-profile fencing options is super ugly. Ideally the fencing would be part of the landscape, a blend between the flowers and foliage but a physical stopping point for my dog.

The cost of these panel solutions are also crazy - you could easily spend hundreds of dollars just making your garden uglier. No one wants to spend money on that!

I ended up finding these steel rebar stakes with a loop, stringing jute rope between and calling it a day. I did over 100 feet of garden border in a few hours.

The border has been up for a few weeks now and I am really happy with how it’s weathering. I do think the birds may have some interest in the rope at some point, but that is just a $20 replacement.
